When you’re an oversized load hauler you need the proper equipment to ensure the cargo and you get to your destination safely and securely. Here at TarpHaus we know and have what you need.
When you haul a load that is oversized or a heavy haul you will need the appropriate sign for your state or region, please look up local laws, that say Oversized or Wide load. These signs need to be displayed on the front and back of your trucks so that all vehicles on the roads can visibly see them. The signs are typically either made from PVC mesh or Heavy-Duty Vinyl and are Hi-Vis yellow so it can be seen at all time day and night.
Along with the Oversized or Wide load banners, you will need caution flags on each end of your load on your truck that are considered the “oversized” points. These come in many different styles depending on how you need to adhere them to your vehicle. The Safety flags come with Wooden dowels, Grommets, Wire Loops, Rubber Bungees, and can even come in their own spring-loaded kit.
Most oversized loads will need a pilot car, but if you are not using one, you may also need beacon, LED flashing lights that are approved by DOT for oversized loads. Always make sure you know the laws of your states and/or jurisdiction to know exactly what you will need for transporting your exact loads.
