EPDM rubber is the most used type of bungee cord tie down. EPDM is UV resistant and tested for high tensile strength. These bungees perform very well in most environments and especially well in the extreme heat and high sun areas without melting or breaking down, like the natural rubber bungees that are sold.
Our bungees are made with galvanized crimped “S” hooks so you can rest assured your hook will not come off your bungee strap while trying to strap it down or traveling down the road. The galvanized S hook also helps protect it against the weather and chemicals it may encounter in the environment.
Bungees come in many different sizes, ranging from 15” – 41”. All bungees can be stretched up to 65% beyond their unstretched size. Do not over stretch them as this can cause tearing in the rubber and can cause damage to the product.
